I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.”
— Georgia O'Keeffe
Hi! I am Liliana Corona!
Hi, I’m Liliana Corona, an artist and future art educator based in Wichita Falls, Texas. I’m currently pursuing my BFA in Painting with a minor in Art Education at Midwestern State University. My work blends surrealist ideas with bold color palettes, layered textures, and mixed media elements to create pieces that feel emotional, immersive, and personal. I love combining traditional painting foundations with more experimental materials, such as mosaic pieces and sculptural textures, to push my work beyond the canvas.
As a teacher, I want my classroom to be a place where students feel safe to experiment, express themselves, and build confidence in their creativity. I believe art education should encourage both technical growth and individuality, while also helping students connect art to their own experiences and cultures. My goal is to create engaging, hands-on lessons that make art approachable, meaningful, and exciting for every student, whether they already love art or are stepping into the classroom nervous, even to pick up a pencil
